Otitis externa: Some people develop chronic itchy ears due to inflammation of the external canal skin. This is often exacerbated by Q-tip use, frequent cleaning with Debrox, alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide.A little wax is helpful, as it is a moisturizer for the canal and also repels water and other irritants.
