Diet and surgery: You can eat foods that are less likely to cause reflux. For example, avoid spicy foods and red sauces, limit caffeine and alcohol intake, and you can take antacids. Your doctor can also prescribe you anti reflux medications. There is no way to make the muscle stronger. You can have surgery to tighten the muscle.
