Hiatal hernia: A weakness at the opening to the stomach can cause a hiatal hernia and allow part of the stomach to enter the chest cavity. This may cause food to get stuck before entering into the stomach. An upper GI x-ray or gastroscope could show this. Should consult with your doctor to find out what is causing the problem.
