Aciphex: Aciphex is commonly prescribed to be taking once daily in the morning. Dryness of the throat is a possible side effect and the second dose may be causing it and a sensation of a lump in the throat. You should be ok with one dose every morning.

Lump in the throat: It looks you have a condition known as globus hytericus in which though there is no lump but it feels like one.. it is nonpyogressive . If any additional symptoms, see GI specialist.

Don't know: You may try taking capsules instead of pills along with a glass of water to see how it works. If you have frequent problem with pills and food stuck, you will need to consult a gastroenterologist to make sure you do not have obstructive areas in the esophagus. By the way, you should take the pill about 30-60 minutes before dinner. See GI doc if you need 2 Aciphex/day for control
