Sebaceous cyst: Please return to your doctor. Such cysts are often totally removed, sack and all. That way they do not re-fill. Your doc may refer you to a specialist to do this. Peace and good health. Swimming w/an open/draining wound is not good. You can get infected.

See below: In general, it’s not advisable to swim with an open wound because of a somewhat higher risk of getting the wound infected especially if swimming in non-chlorinated or contaminated open water. A chronically draining sebaceous cyst via a small opening would be even less likely to worsen. To be as safe as possible, recommend applying a protective waterproof adhesive dressing or bandage over the cyst.
