Well: Are you taking medication? You do need to be on medication and change your lifestyle. You should go back to your doctor and discuss if you continue on with your described symptoms things will change. Be careful

Requires: aggressive treatment of GERD and testing for H. pylori. Additionally try to avoid all NSAIDS ( Advil, Aleve, aspirin ) , alcohol, citrus and tobacco. Figure 3-4 months of aggressive therapy.

Possible Barrett's: Possible. Are you on any anti- reflux regimen? May also be reflux, or H pylori - did they check for H pylori? Would discuss w/ your doctor H pylori testing if not yet done and anti-reflux regimen w/ rantidine ( h2 blockers) and or prevacid (PPIs). f/u w/ GI.
