It happens: The teen & pre-teen years are difficult for many and treatable forms of anxiety emerge with some regularity. A primary care doc can sometimes do a screening using standardized screening tests to determine which kids need professional help. Many respond well to unrelated life coaches/therapists who can teach them coping skills. Look into it locally.
