A member asked:

Had the flu for the past week, not getting better. what medication can i take that wont interact with my zoloft ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You may take: ibuprofen, acetaminophen, dextromethorphan (cough suppressant, in small quantities), and any nasal spray or throat spray. You should not use anti-histamines (any ingredient with the "pheniramine" or "hydramine" at the end) or phenylephrine as those can interact with the sertraline, albeit only temporarily, unless you use large quantities. Thanks for trusting in HealthTap.
