A member asked:

My heart rate climbs to 120 bpm when climbing stairs normal stress echo and holter 21 yr old male 85 kg what could be causing this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal response: The heart will normally increase the rate to deal with any increased exertion. That is normal human physiology. This is well within the normal range. It would be expected to settle back to the baseline resting rate after the exertion has stopped for several minutes.
