"Kidney infection": A "kidney infection" (glomerulonephtitis) is usually accompanied by temperature elevation and "back pain". A urinalysis is not going to detect a true kidney infection, but if the pain and especially a high fever are present, see your internist asap , since nephritis is very serious and needs treatment right away.
