Stop it to be safe: There are concerns in the literature that ashwaghanda may slow or depress activity in the central nervous system (CNS)j. This is why it may help with stress and anxiety. But because of these concerns, it is recommended that you stop taking this herbal product two weeks before having surgery. Check with your eye surgeon for his/her recommendation to be sure.
