Depends on time: Whether or not to take a whole missed pill depends on the time remaining before the next regular pill is due to be taken, and also depends on instructions from one's own doctor. If a person is taking her sertraline every day (about every 24 hours), and it has been less than 12 hours since she missed a pill, she can probably take the whole missed pill and not notice any problem from doing that.

Sertraline: Do not worry if you missed a dose of sertraline. There are one of two things you can do. If you realize you forgot and are able to take it within 12 hours of your usual dose time, take it. If not, skip your missed dose and continue with your normal routine.
