Zoloft (sertraline): Not sure what the dose is, but should be ok since it is prescribed once a day.

Is it normal for my baby to eat more at night than during the day?

Yes: Some babies, particularly those who were more active in the womb at night may have their circadian rhythm reversed and will be more active and hungry at night. As the baby becomes more interactive with the environment this usually changes. If this pattern is persistent i recommend the parents move to a more appropriate time zone(just kidding!).

Yes: Up to one year of age pacifiers may be helpful against sudden infant death syndrome. If it helps your baby sleep, continue offering it until this age. Then reduce its use or remove completely.

Feed on demand: Early on it is best to feed on demand...Meaning feed the baby as often as the baby wants. Start very early however in establishing a bedtime routine. Bath, breast, bed. Bathe the baby, breastfeed and then immediately put the baby to bed. Lights out, people out of room, etc. It may take a while for your baby to get the message but if you stick with it the baby learns to fall asleep on its own.

To add to a question I asked a few minutes ago, i'm very frustrated in finding the right combination of Zoloft (sertraline) and klonopin that will work. Thank you?

Frustration?: I didn't see your other question, but if you are frustrated with your medications and the way they're working or not working, you need to take it up with your own doctor. There are many possible reasons for medicines not seeming to work -- anything from other existing conditions, need to change dosage, wrong diagnosis, or need to change medication itself. Good luck in talking with your doctor!

A 24-year-old female asked:

My baby seem to forget breathing at night, is it normal?

Dr. Prakash Bhoopalam

Probably!: Most babies pause breathing for 15 to 20 seconds in the first few months of life. If the breathing resumes spontaneously and there is no change in color it s usually normal. Make sure you take him to his doctor for a ceck up.
