Hi. compliments of the new year. need some help. my wife, kids and myself have a cough that makes it very difficult to breathe. when one coughs, we end up gasping for air. there is phlem. 4 doctors visits later, no recovery. pls help?

Pertussis: Did the doctor suspect pertussis (whooping cough)? Cough of more than three weeks duration is highly suspicious for pertussis. Antibiotics for pertussis will stop spread of disease. Cough may take several weeks to resolve.
