Sciatica?: One possibility is a pinched or inflamed sciatic nerve, which runs down the back of the leg and through the gluts. Please ask you wife to see her doctor. If that's what it is, he/she may prescribe physical therapy or medication. Peace and good health. If something else, that will be identified also.
