Nerve: There may be a pinched lateral femoral cutaneous nerve which runs through the groin into the outside of the thigh. This may also cause tingling or numbness. Prolonged sitting,being overweight are predisposing features. It's more of a nuisance disorder. A neurologist could confirm the diagnosis.
