Head cold treatments: Non drug treatments for a cold iinclude: just waiting it out, Honey, Nasal irrigation with salt water (neti pot), Steam vaporizer, Throat lozenges. Medications don't make you better faster, they help you cope with the symptoms: for headache/fever: Acetaminophen(Tylenol, etc.). For runny nose, facial congestion: Pseudoephedrine (Sudafed) 120mg long acting tablets, twice daily.
