Gold tooth: You may not need the tooth removed and replaced (implant + crown). It may be possible to remove your gold crown and replace it with a tooth-colored crown. Please see a General Dentist who can guide you as to the choices available.

Gold Tooth: I am interpreting your question that you would like to replace the gold crown with a more natural looking restoration. For that, make an appointment with a local dentist.

Is it necessary?: Extracting your gold tooth if it has a cavity or is broken beyond repair is a good idea. Consider replacement with a dental implant. If you just want to replace the gold tooth due to esthetics, consider replacement with a Zirconium or porcelain crown.

Why remove?: the reason for removal will influence your options for replacement. Also it makes a difference if you want to just remove the gold and replace or the whole tooth

Why extract?: Was the cavity cavity so extensive that the dentist recommend removal? Was it a cosmetic issue that you want to have a more cosmetic crown. Discuss the options with your dentist. If it is a cosmetic issue, replacing the crown with a new one may be a better alternative than removal and replacing the resulting gap with an implant or a bridge.
