Episiotomy stitches: If you had a simple "midline episiotomy and repair", it will usually heal without further suture placement. If you had a "3rd or 4th degree laceration" of the vaginal/anal canals, you should see your ob physician for an exam. The surgical repair may have to be re-done at a later time, however.
