Blood in stool. : Generally speaking, if it’s red blood it may represent a hemorrhoid, anal fissure or bleeding site in the distal colon. If the stool is generally black, then this could suggest a bleeding site in the upper GI tract, such as the stomach. Regardless, hazarding an actual diagnosis virtually would not be wise. You should be evaluated by your doctor.
