It could be infectio: The Concha has cartilage in it which makes it very painful if it is inflamed and looks red. If you see swelling and redness on your ear, you need to see a physician who can examine you to make a proper evaluataion and offer you treatment if the pain is more than mild. Otherwise you can wait and watch for a couple of days...it may resolve itself provided it is not infected/inflamed.

Ear pain: Hello, the concha in your outer ear is very sensitive to pressure or trauma. Perichondritis is an inflammation of the cartilage in the ear that can cause pain. Finally a exzema or outer ear infection could also be the reason. See your doctor for an accurate diagnosis and treatment.
