Persistance: Do it for 20 days and it becomes a habit. Eat 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables a day ( included at each meal) you should be able to be eating the right foods eat lean meat and chicken and fish as 3 ounce portions, eat whole grains and legumes. Dairy products should be low fat.

Diets do not work long term so that one must learn to be selective and choose foods lower in fat and those not processed. There is no one style of eating but what is common to all good eating programs is moderation in food consumption and eating foods that are not fatty, fried or overly breaded. Choose well and you will be well.
