LUQ: It would be unusual for uncomplicated gall stones to cause luq abdominal discomfort. Pancreatic pathology could. Were your pancreatic enzymes checked? LUQ discomfort and diarrhea do occur in IBS. I recommend collaboration between a gastroenterologist and an abdominal surgeon in your case to give you the best advice about further testing and treatment.

I have IBS for many years, My BM's vary from loose to diarrhea to almost formed in the A M. only. The stool is brown but water looks yellow. Gall bladder is removed, I suck on butterscotch candy often can this cause the yellow. bilirubin is 1.5?
I had my gall bladder out 17 yrs ago and i still have IBS problems, is there something that i can take for loose stools?
