Luq pain and pressure radiating to back 2+ months. chronic nausea, frequent diarrhea. ultrasound revealed gall stones w/out inflamation. 3 wks. on protonix symptoms worsened. blood work good, h pylori negative. ibs? gallbladder?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

LUQ: It would be unusual for uncomplicated gall stones to cause luq abdominal discomfort. Pancreatic pathology could. Were your pancreatic enzymes checked? LUQ discomfort and diarrhea do occur in IBS. I recommend collaboration between a gastroenterologist and an abdominal surgeon in your case to give you the best advice about further testing and treatment.
