Distant exposure: I would think a low titer like that would be more indicative of an exposure in the distant past. The body follows the principle of 'use it or lose it' -so there's no need for it to react anymore to the virus. That makes sense too, since you can't recall having an outbreak. That's the tricky thing about HSV-2. It is well adapted to humans and indeed most people don't know they have it. Any more Qs?
