: Your test result shows you have either HSV1, HSV2, or maybe both. There is no way to know which one(s) you have except by a type-specific blood test; or if you have an oral or genital outbreak, to have a PCR test to identify the virus itself. Regardless of which type(s) you have, there is very little risk to any children you will have.

Your test result shows you have either HSV1, HSV2, or maybe both.
