Hi doctor. my wife is experiencing blood in her urine- specifically after intercourse, with no pain. this usually subsides after 24hrs./ the first urination after intercourse. please advise.

Infection: If this is happening after sex, this is likely more related to a cervical infection than urine. She should be evaluated.

GYN exam: to include pelvic exam, urine analysis and culture and blood testing of hormonal levels. This sounds like you may be experiencing post coital hematuria with multiple causes: 1- inadequate lubrication: spend 15-20 minutes on foreplay until wet 2- position- experiment with different positions, especially woman on top 3- communicate- which positions feel the best 4- sexual lubrication: important!
