Is a doctors urine blood test the same as a home pregnacy test or will it measure specifically the amount of hcg rather than just its presence?

Same test: The urine pregnancy tests are all essentially the same. There is a blood test which can measure the amount of pregnancy hormone, HCG, accurately. These quantitative HCG tests are performed in clinical labs.
