A member asked:

How concerned should i be about a 6.2 cm septated right adnexal cyst? i have a follow-up pelvic ultrasound in 6 weeks.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Septated cyst/ovary: Septated cysts are fairly common, and generally will rupture (with perhaps some abdominal pain) spontaneously. A trans-vaginal ultrasould with Doppler flow determination can usually detect increased blood flow, and then a laparoscopy is indicated. Do not miss your appointment for U/S and with your physician.
