Mgt.: Your 7 year old should avoid contact with the baby until well. Please see your PCP for a throat culture. Newborns can become ill more easily due to their developing immune systems. I would recommend monitoring for fever, and a follow up with your PCP. If there is diarrhea, continue to breast feed and see you PCP.
