A member asked:

Off and on left lower groin ache, not even really a pain. aches straight across from the urethral opening in my leg. no palpable lymph nodes. doesn't last more than a few seconds. been going on about 2-3 weeks. period should starts in 3-7 days. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Groin pain: This type of pain may come from an ovarian source, for example, an unruptured cyst, which will cause pain with movement or sitting position or from bowel contractions since the ovary is right next to the sigmoid colon. It can also come from a pulled ligament in the upper thigh. If this continues, see your healthcare provider for an exam.
