A member asked:

How long after a cardio angiogram (not in the arm) where they put stents in can you drive a long road as a passenger.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

24 hours.: Generally you will be examined to be sure there is no local swelling, pain etc prior to discharge. If you have no pain, discomfort, or swelling at the site and if you have no recurrence of heart symptoms, you may ride as a passenger in about 24 hours. Remember that if the stents were put in following a heart attack, you will need to discuss this with your cardiologist.
