A member asked:

Can amoxil help clear tooth infections?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Antibiotics: Penicillin based antibiotics, in the right strength, taken the appropriate number of times per day, taken for the full course of the prescription, can reduce spread of infection. Once antibiotic discontinued infection will come roaring back. The only way to eliminate the infection is by eliminating the infected tooth material (root canal or extraction). Please see Dentist, don't self medicate.
