I took amoxil for 3 wk for tooth infection prescribed by dentist, didn't took away my pain but it's less pianful. if i still have pain will the dentist extract my tooth on the day of my appointment? (4/29) last time he didn't and rx more amoxil?

sounds like you have a dental abscess. Antibiotics will help to a certain degree but if there is an abscess it must be drained or it will not resolve. Whether he does an extraction or a root canal is at your dentist clinical evaluation

You may not need extraction ,your Dentist will evaluate whether the pain is from gum infection or due to deep cavity with infection at the root or the tooth is fractured ..Depending on the Xray finding and examination your Dentist should provide the necessary treatment the same day .Only taking antibiotic and pain medication is not the treatment for your tooth ache .
