Thyroid nodule: A solitary thyroid nodule could be malignant and given the increase in size in 6 weeks, this is of concern. It is advisable that collaboration among the radiologist, thyroidologist and a head and neck surgeon take place. A needle biopsy of the nodule may be advised to make a tissue diagnosis.
