Hip pain: If you are having hip pain to a degtee that you can not walk, you should be seen.

Need more information. However, if you have trouble walking I would see an orthopedic surgeon for an exam and xray.

At your age I would consider a bio mechanical problem of the hip. If you have one leg longer than the other this could put abnormal function of the hip muscles causing pain. Two common painful areas hip bursitis and sacral- iliac joint dysfunction. A podiatrist should be considered for this type of diagnosis for long term care.
