Dear Smoker: See an ENT specialist for an evaluation. Smokers are especially susceptible to oral cancer so it's important you get this evaluated. Also please do your best to stop this unhealthy and dangerous habit. This is something you can also discuss with your own physician.

Quit smoking: Your body is telling you to stop smoking and you should heed the warning. Besides cigarettes do even more harms to your body (cancer, emphysema, rapid ageing etc) than just the throat. If you have been smoking many packs a day, ask your doctor to check your throat as well.
