A member asked:

Is a negative 4th gen duo conclusive at 10 weeks regardless of the other person's hiv status? odds of results changing at six months mark in january?

See below: The chance of a different result at 6 months is low, but it would be prudent to get a HIV nucleic acid test at 6 months after exposure. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex

Yes, concludive: The duo test is conclusive any time 6 weeks (in fact, usually 4 weeks) after the last possible expousre. At 10 weeks, for sure 100% conclusive. There is no chance of it changing at 6 months or any other time in the future.

Yes: It's conclusive. Love safely from now on. And be thankful for having shared love -- it's never perfect, but always to be treasured. Best wishes.
