A member asked:

This is only a general question which obviously lacks detail. if someone has a mild prostatomegaly, a bladder outlet obstruction & trabeculated bladder, is it sometimes true that an operation on the pros gland helps the trab bladder return to normal?

Near normal: Relieving the obstruction will help in restoring urine flow and some of the changes in the bladder. It is not likely that everything will go back to normal. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
