Good question: Ct scan with contrast are quite sensitive to lesions about ).5-1cm in diameter. Mri brain +/- contrast is even more sensitive.

Tumor Unlikely: While a very small tumor could be missed on ct scan, a very small tumor would not likely cause a severe headache. Consider migraine.
