Withdrawal s/sx: It depends on which medication if you stop meds like xanax, ativan, Klonopin suddenly you can risk seizures, etc. If you stop meds like effexor, pristiq, (desvenlafaxine) Cymbalta they can cause tremors, anxiety etc some meds with long half life such as Prozac can be stopped suddenly as a general rule unless there is a life threatening side effects all psych meds should be tapered down slowly and cautiously.
