what can i do if my father just had a stroke which affected the left side of his brain, what can i expect?

Depends...: It depends on how much volume of the brain was damaged, how severe the damage is, and where the damage occurred. Maximizing physical and occupational therapy is very important, as well as optimizing the medical situation. Discuss with neurologist and primary care provider.
