Can you explain how serious my enterobacter aerogenes infection is? my throat culture came back positive for this bacteria.

Serious enough: to require antibiotic therapy. This is generally a gastrointestinal bacteria and can be transmitted by any contact with GI or rectal bacteria; however, often affects, skin, soft tissue and urinary tract.Careful hand washing is mandatory.
