Dead skin: If there has been associated chronic itching this may have been caused by yeast infection secondary to high blood sugar. Another possibility is a chronic skin condition called lichen sclerosus. If an antiyeast cream or ointment doesn't clear the problem, an examination by your gynecologist is recommended.for diagnosis and treatment. Referral to a dermatologist may be advised.
