Should a backslab cast be placed on wet and go hard similar to pop?

Yes: If the backslab is made out of plaster of paris like it usually is. Sometimes an acrylic cast will be done but also this one is wet and then hardens somewhat. If you are unsure worth consulting a doctor or the clinic where this was put on.
