For the past few days i had this excruciating pain in my right leg at the top of my calve just below the bend of my knee. is it something i should worry about?

Possibly.: Sometimes calf pain is due to a blood clot; if you're on hormones or have been immobile (long car/plane trip) your risk is higher. A tear in the muscle or tendon can also cause this type of pain. An ultrasound can help distinguish between them. Please see a doctor.
