Hi, the past three years i have had strep throat 5 times. i get prescribed amoxicillin but am wondering if it has ever really went away?

The penicillin drugs are quite effective in killing strep.Five strep infections(if you actually had it confirmed) over 3 years is inconvenient but does not set you apart as special. There are about 5% or more of the population that carries strep year round without ever getting sick. You may have one in your social circle. They can pass it is easily as a sick one.
