Possible.Cover w/MD.: In my 30+ years in psychiatry I have found this to be a common experience. However the population i see is usually different from that seen by the first line family dr. While starting an ssri alone may work initially for them along with reassurance, i usually need to begin another medication hopefully short-term until the ssri "kicks-in". All patients should begin counseling as well as medications.
