Get It Checked: Several things that could be. Most likely, a stitch poking out, a small piece of bone, or perhaps small particles of a bone graft or the "membrane" which is often used to cover it. In either case, your dentist/surgeon should take a look, just to make sure it isn't going to compromise your long-term success.
