This morning & once this afternoon, i had a sharp pain in my chest to the left of the sternum. yesterday my legs & feet started swelling & still are.

Exam needed: The combination of swelling of lower extremities and chest pains raises the concern for blood clots embolizing to the lungs from phlebitis of the legs. Prompt evaluation of these symptoms should be done in the hospital emergency room as soon as possible where appropriate tests will be carried out.
