I took a generic allergy medicine at 11am this morning containing loratadine but it has not helped. could i take a zyrtec (cetirizine) now or should i just wait?

Yes: As long as you are aware of possible side effects of Zyrtec (cetirizine) and that these may be magnified after taking the loratidine, you might find it works faster. If otc antihistamines are not adequately controlling your allergy symptoms, or you need to use them daily to do so, then see an Allergist for an evaluation. There are treatment strategies to bring lasting relief!
